Drivers Briefing and Awards Dinner 2014

An enjoyable drivers briefing and dinner at Horwood House last week. Great to see everyone and spend a bit of time chatting and catching up. The drivers briefing was as vocal as ever and for us in Class D the regulatory amendments I need to start thinking about for 2015 are:

Replacing the Anti-Roll bar bushes with Powerflex poly bush Black ones

Introducing a brake balance control valve and removing the ABS system.

The awards dinner was a great laugh and much alcohol was consumed by all! Was chuffed to receive my Award after the meal and looking forward to defending the title next year.

No rest for the wicked!!

With the season now ended it is time to work out the modifications required for next season, some of these will come from the drivers briefing next Saturday but some I already know are required. The first challenge has been the roll cage, my second hand one seems to be concerning the scrutineers and with no evidence of the actual make let alone getting a homologation certificate for it so I need a replacement.

Recommendations all point to Oliver at PrepTech so he  is now holding one for me with a view to getting it fitted in early December. I will have to remove my old one first which no doubt will be as fun as putting it in. I want to use the Janspeed back box off my blue ZR and need to do the head gasket on the new engine so plenty to think about getting on with.
